Butler’s Quality Contracting Ltd. has been building and renovating homes since 2004. Husband and wife team, Warrick and Alison Butler of Conception Bay South, NL, own and operate the company. They had already successfully built four of their own homes, so going into business was a natural transition. Warrick left a career in the automotive industry to pursue a life as a home builder. This came as no surprise, given that he is from a family of carpenters. With Alison’s support and meticulous attention to detail, together they provide exceptional service and high-quality homes. Homes are built and renovated in accordance with the National Building Code of Canada. However, Butler’s standard building practices often exceed these minimum standards. Therefore, added building features are incorporated into your home to ensure a solid structure.

It is imperative that buyer and builder are on the same page in terms of commitments and expectations. Therefore, a detailed contract is provided. This will outline a full description of the work to be performed and the materials and products to be used. In doing so, the Who What Where and When is addressed up front, so there are no hidden costs or surprises.
Building Communities
Butler’s is a property developer. This is in addition to building custom homes on other people’s land. In 2009, they partnered in the successful completion of the Venice Heights subdivision in Foxtrap, CBS. Butler’s now have their Maple Ridge subdivision underway in Chamberlains, CBS.
Industry Commitment
Staying up to date on industry trends and regulations is essential this day and age. To that end, Butler’s maintain an active membership with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of NL (CHBA-NL). The CHBA promote and protect the interests of the industry and consumers. Warrick served as president of the CHBA-NL in 2015. Additionally, he has served on numerous provincial and national committees over the years.
Warrick serves on the board of directors of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA). The NLCSA take a leadership role in lowering the risk and preventing injury within the construction industry. Butler’s received COR safety certification from the NLCSA in 2009. This designation recognizes safety excellence exhibited on construction sites and in company operations. Butler’s appreciate the hazards that are present in the home building and renovation industry. For this reason, they are committed to keeping their team safe. This is accomplished through the successful implementation of a loss control program.
The Atlantic Home Warranty (AHW) delivers mandatory training to its members. This not only promotes loss prevention but also keeps builders current on technical aspects. Butler’s have been providing this warranty to homeowners since 2004 and are happy to report there has not been one conciliation issue. Butler’s get it right the first time!
